I want to recognize Michael at Best Buy Gurnee for trying to be helpful during my visit — he was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Jose. While Michael was assisting, Jose kept inserting himself with a smart-ass attitude, clearly trying to assert some sort of authority — not just with me, but with other customers as well.
He seemed more focused on showing off or flexing in front of a junior employee than actually providing good service. His dismissive tone and behavior were uncalled for and made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Customers should be treated with basic respect — not as props for someone's ego.
Best Buy, please address this — you’ve got good employees like Michael doing things right, but interactions like this with Jose leave a lasting negative impression.

Instead of giving me simple options he asked me to pay additional $50 to buy membership so that I could return $22 worth of car charger which I returned since the charging cable was short. found a good option on Amazon

Very helpful staff! We’re excited about our purchase.
The gentleman who greeted me sounded like an unhappy forced robot.
He did guide me after my uneducated explanation of what I sought.
"My van is old, it won't hang out with any of today's techs stuff". Followed by terms such as "doohicky", "pointy thingy" and "cord with a flat circle on one end", and a rectangular metal thing end on the other."
I was overlooked from then on and had to call someone on my phone for help.
My purchases were over $150, and half have to be returned.
There was a sea of employees present, compared to customers. Store was clean.
Lots of empty places on shelves throughout the store.
Oh! One guy did ask if I found everything but turned from me midway through my answer and did not attempt to assist me when I clumsily dropped two of the seven boxes I was carrying.
Won't bother going to that location to return items.
I'll try my luck at another hoping more shelves are stocked.
The cashier was nice. Put together. Needed to speak up and look at the customer more.
