I bought a computer here several months ago as a gift. The sales agent, who had a red beard, said it had 6 months Norton antivirus free, and said nothing about auto-renewals. Would you think that's an important detail? I was just charged for renewal. I guess Best Buy didn't think it mattered. It turned out this was in the fine print. This is a low class, sneaky business practice. You need to clearly tell people what you're doing up front.
I ordered a computer from the Trussville store but when I call I can’t get anyone from that store to pick up. They direct me to a call Center and I know that my computer is there, but I will have to drive there to speak to someone. Terrible customer service

I was told through online customer service chat that I would not have to pay anything to ship my computer off for repair. I pay $179.99 yearly for the Geek Squad/Best Buy protection plan, which is supposed to cover repairs. However, when I arrived at the store, I was told I had to pay an $80 fee to send the computer off and that the information I received online was incorrect.
This was already my second trip to the store, and they still would not waive the fee despite the misinformation from their own customer service.
Based on this experience, I would recommend purchasing electronics elsewhere, such as Amazon, where warranty coverage and customer service tend to be much more consistent.
