I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Best Buy – Gilbert (San Tan Village) location.
A few months ago, I purchased a gaming PC for approximately $1,200 from this store. I was very hesitant at the time because I am primarily an Apple user and unfamiliar with gaming PCs. I clearly communicated that hesitation to the sales representative. I was explicitly told that I would have six months to return or exchange the computer if it didn’t meet my needs. Based on that assurance and the representative’s recommendation that it was a great product, I went ahead with the purchase.
I returned to the store yesterday to exercise what I was told was that return/exchange window. Instead, I was told I was outside the return period and that no such policy ever existed. Multiple employees and managers accused me of lying, stating that “no Best Buy representative would ever say that.”
I spent over two hours in the store trying to calmly resolve the situation. During that time, the staff and management were dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to take any accountability for the misinformation given at the time of sale. I was ultimately offered $100 for a computer that originally cost $1,200, which felt insulting given the circumstances.
What made this experience especially upsetting wasn’t just the refusal to help — it was how I was treated. I was spoken to dismissively, made to feel dishonest, and essentially brushed off rather than treated like a valued customer trying to resolve an issue in good faith.
I expected better professionalism, integrity, and customer service from Best Buy. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in this location, and I would strongly caution others to get everything in writing and not rely on verbal assurances from sales staff here.

Great to have a variety of electronic items. And high end speakers and home theater equipment!
I went in looking for a laptop. When I entered someone immediately greeted me and let the department I needed know that I was on the way. Lucas helped me and was SO knowledgeable and helped me determine what was best for me based on my needs and use of it. He literally could answer all my million questions and was able help me compare different brands and their capabilities. Lucas was wonderful. I left their super happy I didn't buy online based on my own research. Sometimes online isn't the way to go when you have the Lucas' of Best Buy lol.
