I'm not techy in the slightest I was shopping for a new laptop for my niece starting school, expressed that I DO NOT want a chromebook ONLY looking for something operating on windows. I got helped with finding an open box laptop, BUT they didn't mention it was a Chromebook, when getting rung up they did not let me know, when I gave the laptop to my niece she opened it and it's a chromebook, I am past the window to return the item now and I'm stuck with a overpriced tablet that has a keyboard attached. VERY disappointed that the employees recommended me something I specifically said I did not want, I expressed my need for the lap top to be WINDOWS and NOT a Chromebook and sure enough they gave me exactly the opposite of what I asked for. And when I went looking for a copy of my receipt in my email, since I misplaced the physical copy, I realize they also did not give me the option to enter my phone number at time of payment. I'm always disappointed when I come to this location the staff is friendly and nice but almost always give you incorrect information or steer you towards an item that isn't what your looking for in the slightest. It happened when I went to get a new phone in 2020, they suggested a budget phone that didn't even get past the home screen before crashing during set up, I returned it the next day and had to pay a restock fee for a borderline defective product and it happens again in 2026 with a "laptop". Personally I think they shouldn't be able to sell Chromebook as laptops when they have such limited functionality vs a windows or Mac OS. Chromebook= bulky glorified tablet
Bestbuy SV= poor knowledge of products/poor listening skills when customers ask for help finding items.
I'm aware I should have looked into the computer I was buying before purchasing but since I had an employee there helping me and recommending the item too me after I expressed what I wanted, I expected it to be at least mostly what I needed not the complete opposite.
edit to respond to their automated reply to this review: Why would you ask us to reach out via social media? I don't use any. I don't have respect for any company that tries to use "reach out to us on Facebook/x/Instagram so we can help" If you don't have an email or phone number(That doesn't use an AI) to help us resolve our complaints than it's just you using the "we gave you options" as a cop out to not actually assist us. Horrible customer service horrible attempt at taking accountability. 0/5 stars

The manager and staff were very friendly and nice and they were very helpful helping us find computers and were just super good overall the manger was super friendly with us and even gave us free stuff for just talking to them and doing a game this is the best Best Buy store I have ever gone to
Helped me so much! Thank you Michelle.
I had a bad experience with "The Specialists", a local small business, so I brought my vehicle in to Best Buy to complete the job. I wish I would have come to Best Buy to begin with. Zach in car audio was such a pleasure to work with. He listened to my desires, he was realistic with me about my expectations, he took the time to help me find products that were in my budget but also fit my needs and expectations. Zach went above and beyond to deliver and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We have more work planned for my vehicles audio system and I fully trust Zach with my vehicle, time, and money. Kudos!!!!
