I had a really frustrating experience with Geek Squad yesterday. I called and explained that my computer screen wasn’t turning on. They told me to bring it in so they could run a diagnostic. I drove about 30 minutes to get there, expecting they would actually check the problem. When I arrived, they looked at the computer and simply said, “the screen isn’t coming on.” I already knew that — that’s why I brought it in. They didn’t run any real diagnostic, didn’t try to check anything internally, and basically told me they didn’t have the tools or ability to figure out the actual issue. This was a complete waste of time. If they couldn’t diagnose it, they should have told me over the phone instead of having me drive all the way there for nothing. Very disappointing experience. Based on this, I don’t recommend relying on Geek Squad for computer diagnostics.

You can’t talk to the actual store. I purchased a warranty and online it says to bring in the item and exchange it for a new one. There is only 1 left locally and my son really needs it but you can’t talk to an actual store to have them hold the item for less than 2 hours. All customer service does is say to purchase it online for pickup. Why would I buy an item I’m exchanging under warranty? I don’t know why I bother spending my money here anymore when such a small service can’t be done

Sold me an open box tv and soundbar. The tv was faulty immediately after the return policy ended. And now after 6 months of constant issues it just died. I’m not sure why they sold something that clearly had issues from the start. I knew it was an open box but the expectation is that you’ll receive a functional item. I now have a huge paperweight. The sound bar was also missing its remote. Turns out that the remote is necessary for pairing the soundbar to the tv. So without I’m stuck with a useless item. Thankfully the folsom location had the same item, for less, and in better condition. This whole store seemed run down and less organized than other locations. I won’t be coming here or any other locations if the products are just going to break less than a year after purchase.
