My laptop suddenly lost power while it was plugged in. I have the BB Total membership, but couldn't utilize it for this laptop because I didn't purchase it from BB. After looking online for solutions, I decided to take it to Best Buy for repair anyway. I called and did some troubleshooting with a tech over the phone who said that I would need to take it in because they could not help me repair it over the phone. I set an appointment, and when I went in I was told by the tech at the desk that they couldn't help me with my laptop. He said that I would have to pay $80 to ship it out, and then whatever costs that it would take to fix it plus shipping. Additionally, he said that it could be 2 to 3 weeks before I would get it back. I decided to leave and think about if I wanted to do that, just buy a new one, or see if there were any other places nearby that could fix it. In the meantime, I also decided to get back online to see if there was a fix. And I found it. And I do not understand why the tech on the phone could not tell me how to do this, or the tech at the store. It was so simple I couldn't believe it. Seriously! So I am pretty disappointed with this place right now, and considering whether or not I want to renew my membership.
Don't waste your time in this store. Go anywhere else!
