My wife and I are still out of our home due to smoke damage from the Palisades fire. We purchased a Samsung 65" TV from this Best Buy location in Culver City. I pulled up with my U-Haul (trying to move into our new place that day), and the Best Buy employee loaded the TV in. We went directly home (about 4 miles away) and unloaded the TV. When we unboxed it, it was cracked. I taped the box back up and returned to that Best Buy that Tuesday thinking it would be an easy exchange - you sold me a cracked TV, no worries I'll just take a new one. I spoke to a manager there - also named Miles - who told me since I transported it home myself, they don't know whether I cracked it or they cracked it, so they cannot process this return or exchange. I was out of luck. Remember, the BEST BUY EMPLOYEE LOADED IT INTO MY TRUCK and told me it was fine! I've been a lifelong Best Buy customer but unfortunately it is too much of a risk to continue shopping there, as apparently the customer bears the responsibility for being sold a damaged product.
