If you value good customer service, avoid this location. I bought a laptop that turned out to be defective and had already brought it in once for a repair. The fix didn’t work, so I returned within my exchange window to get a replacement. The Culver Best Buy refused because I no longer had the original box, claiming it was their strict policy since they needed it for resale—even though the product was still faulty.
I brought this up with the Culver store manager, explaining how unreasonable it was, but he was completely indifferent and told me that how I felt wasn’t his problem. Frustrated, I checked with other Best Buy locations, and they confirmed that no box was needed for a defective return. They even apologized for how Culver handled it and agreed that a faulty item shouldn’t be resold in the first place.
Pico and Westfield locations are much more reasonable and actually work with customers. Skip this store and go somewhere that values your time.
Great service and delivery.
I had a terrible experience with Das, the store manager. He repeatedly argued with me over a return that was clearly eligible under the store’s own policy. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he became defensive and dismissive, insisting he didn’t need to acknowledge my return at all.
To make matters worse, when I mentioned leaving a review with a photo on Google Maps, he resorted to threats—saying he would sue me. This level of hostility from a manager is completely unacceptable. Customers deserve respectful service, not intimidation tactics.
I will be returning, and if his behavior continues I will follow up again with corporate and I strongly advise others to avoid this balding man, Das, if you expect fair and professional treatment.
