We had an awful experience buying a new microwave. The price point is high but the standards are shockingly low, and customer service feels like an afterthought. We worked with Kevin and Martha, both of whom did little to help when we reached out about our botched install. When things went wrong, accountability was nowhere to be found. Instead, they pointed us to Best Buy customer service. Speaking to anyone there felt less like support and more like we had accidentally wandered into an episode of Nathan for You, where the plan makes no sense and somehow still keeps getting worse. Lesson learned, we won’t be back. After multiple attempts to resolve this, I finally got someone to come out, and unbelievably (and against my wishes), they sent the same contractors back. The same team that caused the original issues. As expected, the result was more poor workmanship and additional damage. At this point, this is no longer just a bad install, it’s a complete failure in accountability and quality control. I reached out again for support, and Martha was once again unhelpful. At one point, she actually said “stuff happens,” which is unacceptable given the repeated mistakes and damage caused by their service provider. To make matters worse, they are now effectively holding my money hostage by offering me two options: accept a measly $50 credit, or allow a third attempt with the same incompetent contractors who caused the problem in the first place. Neither option is a real solution. What should have been a simple installation has turned into an exhausting, frustrating experience with no meaningful effort to make it right.
