Incredibly irresponsible and rude store. I purchased an open-box excellent condition Sony TV. I had called in advance to confirm that all the accessories were in the box as this location is 45+min away from me. When I went to pick up the TV, they gave it to me in an LG box, which should've been a red flag, but reassured me that everything was in the box and the TV was in working order. I took the TV home, only to find that it was missing the TV remote and the charging cable was for an LG TV, not the original Sony TV's.
The next day I called the store to ask if they could pick it up from me for the return since the listing and condition of the product was incorrect. Their home and theater employee told me they can't do that for open box items, which isn't what I wanted to hear, but it is what it is. However, he then criticized me for not bringing the TV back to the store as soon as I found a problem, and his condescending tone implied that I was wasting his time talking to him instead of driving the TV to the store.
I found time to bring the TV to the store over the weekend for the return. They tried offering me a random power cable from a box of cables to keep the TV (without even knowing if it would fit the TV) and didn't even address the remote. Truly insulting that they think that would be an acceptable solution. They then tried offering me a new TV at full price, which meant I would have to pay the difference. I told them I wanted a return and they inspected the TV and processed my return.
Throughout this entire process, not a single employee apologized for the inconvenience or showed even a hint of empathy. What an absolutely infuriating experience.
