Terrible service the ai when you call instead of service is unserviceable
I'm a Best Buy member and shop frequently at Best Buy, but the staff at this store must have been told by management to constantly ask patrons if they need help. Loads of pressure to buy something, and I often find myself just going to the La Quinta store. This is a bad 1990s-style sales model that I'm sure Best Buy doesn't agree with. Leave people alone! Assist them when they ask you! Brick and mortar stores are failing, remember we can always buy things, and often cheaper online. Every time I get an empty "Can I help you find something? " I say "no, I have eyes for that purpose, but if I need your assistance, I will let you know!"
Its Uncomfortable and awkward!. On my last visit, I came to the store for 5 minutes to look for a tablet. While reading specs, I was asked 11 times by various members if I needed help! 11 TIMES!!!
1. What could you possibly help with that the Best Buy app can't? The store is literally covered in QR codes.
2. If you saw me shoo away another employee, why would you think asking the same stupid question would be useful?
3. People who intend to steal from your store WILL STEAL REGARDLESS of the blue shirt flies presence! I'm assuming that's the reason for the annoyance. What you are actually doing is reminding me that I can use Amazon or order directly from the manufacturer from the comfort of my own home! If I left my home to buy something to your store, it better be a pleasant experience and its just not.
Leave people alone, let them read, be available for assistance in a centralized location, nobody is stealing the cheap crap that you have out of stock anyway. Such a high-pressure situation, they don't even let you get to where you are going. If La Quinta doesn't have it, I'd rather drive to San Diego before coming back to this store. Back off!!! And an AI response wont make me change my review.

Good morning,
We appreciate you sharing your feedback of your experiences at our Palm Desert store. It's understandable to want to have a peaceful shopping visit, and being asked if you need help so many times can certainly be unwelcome.
This can be difficult, as some customers do prefer to be approached and offered assistance, where others, like yourself, prefer to ask when it's needed. What you described though does sound excessive. If you could please send a private message on one of our social media platforms, Facebook (https://bby.me/EBExCh), Twitter/X (https://bby.me/qx5v92), or Instagram (https://bby.me/DKzz1K), and refer to your "Google review #161038", we'd be happy to ensure this is looked into further.
