I recently purchased a surround sound system for $1,199 two weeks ago that's now on sale for $1,099 and as I was paying for the item originally I was told by the store representative who was assisting me word to mouth that I had 30 day return/exchange policy... So I thought nothing of it to check my receipt but felt confident in what I was told and like I can just trust the store and their representative who was checking me out as I paid. Unfortunately that was not the case, there is only a 15 day return policy as I just now found out after calling customer service to see about receiving some type of compensation for the price drop, either it being some sort of refund or even then store credit I would've been fine with. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I do feel now as I think back and about how the whole process went down that I was lied to and my trust was taken advantage of and can now see why it all went down the way it did during check out, word to mouth being told 30 day return/exchange policy and shoving the receipt into the bag so you don't see the true cut off date to actually do so(return/exchange). I am happy with the product I bought but do feel my trust was taken advantage of and now learned to never accept word to mouth and always confirm for yourself before you get yourself into a situation as I did myself with best buy, over all terrible customer service experience. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
