I had the worst experience in this Pinole store this morning.
I bought a Verizon prepaid phone from them 2 days ago. When i opened the box the day after, upon opening the box, inside was a broken, camera lens was all cracked, smartphone. So I went back, the very next day (Today) to return and ask for an exchange for the same phone. (I wasn’t asking for a refund or anything, just wanted the item that I paid for). After getting to returns, it was looked at by the lost prevention lady (very mean look on her face) and commented “this looked like it was dropped” and I explained to her, I open the box and that’s what came with it. I just wanted another phone because that’s what I paid for. She took the phone and talked to her manager and came back, stated “you gonna have to file a claim with Motorola for this phone, we’re not going to be able to take it back”
I was “what! You guys sold me a damage phone and you people won’t exchange it for the right one” again, she commented “this doesn’t look like it was damage during shipping more like it was dropped”
The sheer attitude this lady was giving and keep implying that I broke the phone, where she could easily just swapped it with the same kind of phone for $43 and some change. Chose not to when I’m clearly a victim. In frustration I told her “you know what, keep the phone and my receipt, did not know this best buy doesn’t have any consumer relation experience, this is ridiculous”
Since when did stores stop doing exchange when the item they sold to us is damage or defective? Or was it because I looked young and what they do is give us “young”’people the brush off or the cold shoulder for stuff like this. This Best Buy is something else. So be careful what you buy from this store

Had a stressful situation trying to return a starlink mini kit at this store. The associate said that the serial number on the box did not match the serial number on the startlink device. Starlink kits always contain multiple components, and the kit serial number on the box does NOT match the serial printed on the dish or router.
The box number (S/N KIT…) identifies the entire kit package. The hardware number (S/N MHT…) identifies the router/dish unit itself.
The model numbers match
• Box: Dish UTA-231, Power supply UTP-231I / UTP-231P
• Hardware label confirms same product family
• All regulatory labels match (FCC ID 2AWHPW231 / IC 26207-UTW231)
The P/N pattern matches Starlink MINI hardware
• Box: 02535001-512
• Dish/Router: 5439D90-51X-A (Starlink internal part number)
Starlink uses different P/Ns for kit vs individual components.
The managers said i was BARKING be ause she was refusing to accept the return i had to call the police to make her accept the return. When she said i was barking i said im not a dog . I should have not be treated like that for returning the item i bought 5 days ago took from the box for 10 minutes.
Starlink kits use KIT serial numbers on the box and device serial numbers on the hardware. They never match. SpaceX prints different serials for the kit and the dish/router. The regulatory numbers and model numbers match.

I was humilhated in front of the whole store for trying to return a package . I’m going to court and u guys have to pay for all distress u made me go torugh the manager said i was barking in front of my wife. I’m going to court to file a small claim case, manager refused the return, said i was barking when i argued about her refusal to the return and totally unprofessional tried to trespass me for trying to return the item. I called the police but they accept the return before the police arrives. Do not buy at this store
