I am beyond frustrated with my recent experience at Best Buy. I purchased a Samsung soundbar open-box in “Good” condition, and even called ahead to confirm my order was ready for pickup. The employee assured me it was waiting.
After driving 1.5 hours to the store, I was handed a soundbar in “Fair” condition — not the one I ordered. When I pointed this out, the employees didn’t even bother to check the order properly at the counter. Only then did they admit my “Good” condition soundbar had already been given away to another customer. How does this even happen? Why confirm my order if you can’t keep the correct item aside?
This level of carelessness shows a complete lack of accountability. My time, gas, and effort were completely wasted, and I left empty-handed despite doing everything right on my end.
Best Buy needs to fix their open-box handling process immediately — inventory should be tracked accurately, and confirmed orders should never be handed off to someone else. At the very least, employees should care enough to double-check what they are handing to customers instead of brushing it off.
This experience has left me feeling completely disrespected and deeply disappointed. I expected far better, and unless changes are made, I’ll be rethinking where I shop in the future.

I went in a few weeks ago just browsing for a new laptop. I had a Microsoft surface that was slowly giving out on me. Roger made some wonderful suggestions and provided me alternatives to what I had. He was very knowledgeable and had great customer service.
