I’ve been a Best Buy customer for years, but this experience completely changed my view of the company.
Best Buy hides behind confusing and inconsistently applied return policies, then stonewalls customers when issues arise. I was bounced between store staff, corporate support, and “executive resolution” with no one taking real ownership or offering a reasonable solution. Each interaction felt scripted, dismissive, and designed to exhaust the customer rather than help them.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Policies are selectively interpreted, explanations change depending on who you speak to, and once they decide to say no, meaningful conversation stops. Escalations lead nowhere. Transparency and basic customer respect are clearly not priorities.
For a company of this size, the customer care experience is shockingly poor. If something goes wrong with your purchase, be prepared for a long, frustrating process with little to no resolution.
I would strongly caution anyone buying higher priced items here. Once Best Buy has your money, you are largely on your own.
Customer service at Best Buy has really gone downhill. The employees are great people and try to help, but company policies often make them look like the bad guys. I’ve been disappointed over the last few years, both as a customer, veteran, and student.
During my recent visit, I was helped quickly, which I appreciated. However, I found the last unit of a product I wanted, and it was already opened. The employee told me there was nothing they could do—I had to either buy it at full price or it would be sent back to the manufacturer. No discount, credit, or alternative was offered.
The staff are doing their best, but the policies make it frustrating for loyal customers. I wish I can give more stars especially to the amazing people that work here but Bestbuy you have failed your employees and your customers.
Robert over by appliances helped me select the refrigerator that was going to check all my families boxes needs. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. With his help I was able to select a fridge that would fit through my narrow 50s house doorways. He assured me that the delivery team would be able to take the doors off if needed be and that it was covered by the delivery cost. It was just delivered today and I am extremely satisfied.
