I left my bag of cards outside for 3 mins, employee took it, I asked for it back, even tho I had digital receipt, phone number, and debit card to prove it’s mine, they said since they have the receipt in the bag the can’t do anything. Frustrating on my good day
Came in to demo the Meta RayBan Display Smartglasses. Richard (the Meta rep) was an absolute superstar. Didn't have any in stock but took me through the demo and even called around nearby stores (not even Best Buys) to check stock and help me reserve a pair. So impressed with the service even for someone who wasn't going to spend a dime.

Muy buena atención , los colaboradores muy atentos,
I’m writing this review specifically about the Mission Valley location in San Diego.
This is the only Best Buy in the area that consistently carries higher-end home theater and audio equipment within my budget. With most independent high-end audio stores having closed over the years, Magnolia inside this store is essentially the only place locally where you can shop for serious speakers and home theater gear in person. The San Diego location also has a stronger selection than most other Best Buy stores I’ve visited.
That said, the in-store experience has been frustrating.
Many Best Buy locations either have non-functional audio rooms or keep them locked entirely. The Mission Valley location does have a demonstration room, which is great in theory. Unfortunately, the staff often seem unwilling to demonstrate equipment or unfamiliar with how to properly set it up. On multiple occasions, I’ve had difficulty getting a demo. Most recently (Wednesday morning), an employee walked in and shut the system off when I was trying to play music myself.
If the store is unwilling to demonstrate the equipment, it raises a fair question: why maintain a demo room at all?
High-end audio is not an impulse purchase. Customers need to hear speakers before making a decision, especially when comparing brands and price points. A functioning, accessible demo experience is the entire value proposition of having Magnolia in a brick-and-mortar store.
I truly hope management invests in better staff training and a more customer-friendly demo process. The selection is decent. The opportunity is there. The execution just needs improvement.
