Turns out Best Buy is easily hackable. I was scammed with an EZ pass message saying that I have a toll due. I started to pay and added my Gmail and credit card info. Nothing happened that day. Two weeks later, I saw a transaction of around $300 on the same credit card for best buy purchase. Then I saw there of bunch of emails on my Gmail full of OTPs. I understood why this would happened. I saw an email from Best Buy about this purchase and the item was ready for pickup and the email also said that a photo id will also be required for pickup. This best buy was 40 minutes away from my work, so I decided to go there after work. I was also thinking that there is no way scammer can pick the item since they won't have photo ID. Turns out item was picked up and when I visited Best Buy they said it was curbside pickup. They refused to help further without police report. I filed a police report which got rejected. I am surprised how could someone create a new Best buy account without an OTP. Then how was the person able to authorize payment using my credit card without an OTP. Then how the person able to pick it up without an ID. Best buy security is really bad!

Do not waste your time purchasing the Geek Squad Protection as this store does not honor it and will leave you in the dust regarding it. The staff are uninterested, unhelpful, and bothered to be there. There is no concern or care from their service desk, they rotate responsible staff the moment they realize the transaction is more than a two word interaction. I'm sure the sales department is all giddy but the Service Desk is horrible. They do not honor their own receipts and suggest you search a random bestbuy corporate email to complain to without offer of further support. Literally just to push you out of their line and into an unknown no face party - don't forget you have to research that email yourself! They offer again Z E R O support! When I returned for another transaction the employee left mid return! Just said "You should get the email receipt," Didnt offer a physical or finish the interaction just simply walked away. What a joke of service this place is.
