Tuve una buena experiencia puesto que me ayudaron en todo lo que tenía dudas sobre los productos que compré.
Clean store with great service I came in to get a very specific purchase and it was an expensive item and I was able to get it done quickly with the help of the floor staff. I wish I wrote down her name mixed Asian girl with curly hair I think really nice smart kind really a great associate. Best Buy is lucky to have her. She walked me through options for the Best Buy rewards programs which I think are generally pretty good and I did sign up for the $30 tear. Really just a good associate. Really appreciate it very different experience than what I'm used to in LA county where there's a guard with a gun at the door
BUYER BEWARE!!!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience involving the Best Buy in West Covina.
Last Friday, someone fraudulently made a purchase at this location using my Best Buy Credit Card account, totaling approximately $1,198 for an air purifier, a two-year warranty plan, and what appears on the receipt as a "Comp Reward." I was able to obtain a duplicate receipt from another Best Buy location, and it indicates that an account lookup was performed to complete the purchase. I still have my physical credit card, so it was never lost or stolen. This purchase was made without my knowledge or authorization.
When I went to the West Covina store to ask how this could have happened, I asked the manager what the policy is for verifying a customer's identity when performing an account lookup and allowing purchases on a Best Buy Credit Card account. I was shocked to hear that IDs are not always scanned or verified and that the process can depend on the situation. If that is indeed the store's practice, it raises serious concerns about customer security.
This incident has already resulted in me filing a fraud claim with the Best Buy Credit Card issuer, reporting the incident to Best Buy, and following up with a police report. No customer should have to spend hours dealing with identity theft because proper identity verification procedures may not have been followed.
Identity theft is not a minor inconvenience. It causes stress, consumes valuable time, and creates financial uncertainty. Customers should be able to trust that a retailer extending credit in their name has strong identity verification procedures before allowing purchases.
I sincerely hope Best Buy thoroughly investigates what happened in my case and reviews the security procedures at this location so that no one else has to experience what I did. Until I see evidence that customer accounts are better protected, I cannot recommend shopping at this store.
