I went here to buy a gift for my kids. As I'm trying to check out, the employee asks me if I want a credit card. I say no. The employee then starts quizzing me about why I don't want a credit card. I point out it's highly inappropriate to ask for my financial information to try and sell me a credit card. The employee says management demands they ask these questions Management just earned this place a one star review. I don't know what manager insisted on this behavior, but "No" is a full sentence. Please stop trying to maximize your personal bonus and train your employees to be respectful to customers instead. Your bonus at the end of the year isn't more important than that.

I’ve been a Best Buy customer for years, but this experience completely changed my view of the company. Best Buy hides behind confusing and inconsistently applied return policies, then stonewalls customers when issues arise. I was bounced between store staff, corporate support, and “executive resolution” with no one taking real ownership or offering a reasonable solution. Each interaction felt scripted, dismissive, and designed to exhaust the customer rather than help them. What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Policies are selectively interpreted, explanations change depending on who you speak to, and once they decide to say no, meaningful conversation stops. Escalations lead nowhere. Transparency and basic customer respect are clearly not priorities. For a company of this size, the customer care experience is shockingly poor. If something goes wrong with your purchase, be prepared for a long, frustrating process with little to no resolution. I would strongly caution anyone buying higher priced items here. Once Best Buy has your money, you are largely on your own.

Been a very long time customer of Best Buy (like 20 years), for computers, sound systems, and appliances. No more. I bought a new HP laptop 3 weeks ago, and the paint on the keys has started to wear off. This is apparently a known problem with HP keyboards (new to me of course). I thought maybe I wasn't cleaning it properly, but no, it's wear, after 3 weeks. Asked about exchanging it, and was told that the store warrantee is 14 days on laptops. So if I want redress, I have to send the laptop to HP. After 3 weeks. Kudos to the Geek Squad for telling me like it is, and they've been helpful in the past in other ways. Those guys rock. Corporate and sales management? They suck. What company sells a product with a known defect and says "Talk to the manufacturer, we wash our hands of this problem"?
