Hi I bought many things at this store and very happy however, I did make a few purchases that were not very good nor fair sale. I didn't remember to do a review at time of issue several years ago. I purchased a laptop that would overheat within few minutes and the battery would stop working within 30 minutes so I have had to keep it plugged in since buying it whenever I wanted to use it which is very inconvenient and not conducive to the purpose of a laptop to be able to be mobile with it.
I went to the store to ask for an exchange or any suggestions and they SUGGESTED I GET GEEK SQUAD($200) TO HELP ME AFTER A PURCHASE MADE 3 WEEKS PRIOR($800) SINCE THEY DON'T HONOR ANYTHING FOR EXCHANGE AFTER 2 WEEKS. This is horrible to do to a customer who just spend all that money with them.
Another horrible purchase was an EPSON printer. I spoke to a manager who offered a 10% future discount. However, I was in the store shopping recently to see what looked like the same printer being sold .This printer is horrilbe because if you are low on ANY of the ink cartidges it will NOT allow you to print ANYTHING AT ALL, even in black and white. So I purchased different ink as they became low until I realized I can't keep financially doing this. This was now counter productive. I had to buy ink every few weeks just to print black and white and if I did anything color well then I was purchasing way more ink more often. I tossed it and went back to an old printer I had from HP. the reason I bought a new printer was so we could use it remotely as well as a copier. Ugh big mistake.
I contacted EPSON and they wanted to hear nothing of it. They asked me to send in a complaint then they played this cat and mouse game that ended up a waste of my time, who has time for that so i let it go and never heard back from EPSON. They asked to send receipts of ink puchases, this I did. They asked me to take pictures of the serial number and basically to help them do some product improvement possibly for their benefit that had no help to me.

DO NOT MAKE PROMISES YOU CAN'T KEEP!
I find it absolutely ridiculous that I am even in this situation! The Best Buy App and the Best Buy Website BOTH SAY that TV recycling is ACCEPTED in the state of Connecticut without any drop-off fee. The first day I go in, I haul my TV into the store in the freezing cold weather just for some lady to look at me like I was crazy and say "We don't accept TV's." After this, I went home and rechecked the website and the app where it clearly states that they do! I go back A SECOND TIME and at the door was the store manager. I tell him that I would like to recycle my TV. Yet again, the same monotone "We don't take TV's for recycling." At this point, I pull up the app and show him directly where it says that they do (see screenshot). His only response to that was "Sorry, we don't take TV's. We have nowhere to put them." I go back to my car carrying this 47 inch TV in the snow, and I get on the phone with Best Buy. Of course, when you call, it's this AI chat bot instead of a person, but luckily I was able to get around the AI by just asking it for a human representative. WHO WOULD'VE KNOWN THAT BEST BUY OUTSOURCES THEIR CALLS TO INDIA! I feel bad for the lady who had picked up my call, because she wanted to help, but had absolutely no way of contacting the store or taking control of the situation. Her only advice was to "go to another store." SERIOUSLY!? I call again and it's another person out of India, this time a man, who wants me to put in my address into the website so that the TV can be picked up from my house???? Best Buy's customer service is nonexistent! Oh, and a side note. The person who had initially turned me away from the store the first time suggested I go to a different recycling facility in Danbury. I show up to this place and it's a literal dump with like armored semi trucks driving around my car! Instead of just taking my TV like you promised, you recommended I drive my Nissan straight into a hard hat zone! I have shopped at Best Buy EXCLUSIVELY since I was in elementary school! Now, every time I see a Best Buy commercial, I want to throw my TV remote at the screen, smash it with a hammer, bring my dilapidated television into Best Buy, drive home, and burn every blue and yellow object in my house. Negative a trillion out of ten, would recommend to my enemies. Oh, and by the way, before all of this, I went to ask the employee about how these "Pokémon card purchasing events" work, and of course, he acted so miserably that I felt second hand depression emanating from him. I hate Best Buy, the people who work at Best Buy hate Best Buy, and I forever hate the color blue. Worst Buy EVER!
