This is one of the best Best Buys I've been to. Staff is always helpful and they have lots of product available and plenty of demos.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly frustrating.
I purchased a washer and dryer from the Best Buy on Concord Pike on Monday, with delivery scheduled for yesterday. Unfortunately, the delivery driver made little effort to complete the installation. After a quick look, he immediately stated the appliances wouldn’t fit through the doorway and refused to try any alternatives.
Before delivery, I was told by dispatch that, when necessary, drivers can remove doors and even remove the appliances from their packaging to help with tight clearances. The driver refused to do either, claiming the shape of the appliance made it impossible, but without providing a clear explanation or making any real attempt.
When I asked if he could at least measure my existing washer so I could understand the difference, he simply showed me a photo on his phone stating the new unit was 27¾ inches wide. This directly conflicted with the delivery preparation information I had received, which listed the appliance as 27 inches wide. That inconsistency cost me an entire delivery appointment.
To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, I was told it couldn’t even begin processing until the appliances were returned to the store. Then I was informed that I would have to call back myself to request the refund—even though the delivery failed because the driver refused to attempt the installation, not because I declined the delivery.
The entire experience felt like customer service ended the moment the truck arrived. I expected much more effort, better communication, and a smoother resolution from a company like Best Buy. I hope management reviews both the delivery process and the customer service policies, because this experience was extremely disappointing.
