What should have been a simple in-store pickup turned into an extremely frustrating experience. I purchased TVs online for pickup, but once I arrived, we realized they wouldn’t fit in my truck. Store employees wheeled the TVs back inside, and I was assured by both employees and a manager that after about 30 minutes I’d be able to cancel the order through the Best Buy app because of their fraud prevention system. Unfortunately, the app later showed the TVs as “picked up,” making it impossible for me to cancel the order. I spent hours trying to contact the store through multiple phone numbers with no success. Customer service transferred me around with no real solution other than suggesting I drive 45 minutes back to the store, while also admitting a callback from the store was unlikely. When I returned to the store that evening, employees said they had no knowledge of the situation and told me a manager would need to review security footage since the system showed the TVs as picked up. Before any resolution could happen, I was asked to leave because the store was closing. After exhausting every available resource, the issue was finally resolved 48 hours later. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer support throughout this process was incredibly disappointing. If this is the level of service being offered, I’ll be reconsidering shopping or picking up anything at this Best Buy location again.
