The “no questions asked” Geek Squad warranty you get when you sign up for the annual membership apparently works differently for Apple products. It is probably Apple’s fault but nevertheless it is an undue inconvenience coming to the store to claim warranty for an Apple TV and not being able to receive the expected service.
