I stopped by Best Buy in Daytona to buy a computer. I am a member of their frequent buyer program, and with their large selection, I figured that would be the best place to buy a new laptop. There were four employees in the computer area. The two younger ones were talking to each other, and the two older men were with customers. I walked around for about 15 minutes looking at various laptops without any acknowledgment or greeting ( I have several years retail experience in sales and management, so I know how important initial contact is). At this point, the men who were previously with customers were now free. I had to take my glasses out to read some of the information on the laptops I was especially interested in. I thought for sure that someone would notice that I was intently reading and would approach to see if assistance was needed. Instead, they focused on a father and son that wandered in and started conversing with them. Next, attention was given to a pair of men that were waking around talking about gaming. One of the salesmen walked over with a customer and stood right next to where I was reading about a laptop. He loudly explained to the man all the qualities of the laptop next to me. I was interested, so I watched and listened as he pointed out things. Still, no acknowledgment. Finally, after 20 minutes in the department, I decided that I wasn't going to be getting any information to help me buy a laptop that afternoon. The attention was clearly only given to males. The crazy thing was that none of the men they were catering to, actually bought a computer. I was planning on walking out with one, but instead, went to my car did the research on the laptops I'd seen, and went to Staples the next day, where I was greeted, given lots of information about the laptops, and had all my questions answered.

Best buy is the place I go to for general electronics. Their selection is not what it used to be but I am still satisfied with my purchases
