I brought my iPhone to Best Buy / Geek Squad for a back glass replacement, and after picking up the phone I immediately noticed fresh damage/scraping around the edges of the housing that was not there before the repair. The workmanship quality was unacceptable.
I brought the issue up immediately before even leaving the area, and the manager, Jovi, acknowledged the condition looked bad but then claimed the damage “came like that” and refused to take responsibility or offer a proper resolution. I was told to “take it up with Apple” even though the damage occurred during their service process.
Very disappointed with how this was handled. If a customer pays for a repair, the device should be returned in equal or better condition — not with additional cosmetic damage. The lack of accountability and refusal to stand behind the repair quality is the biggest issue here.
I recommend customers carefully inspect their devices before leaving after any repair service
