DANGEROUS SCAM at Best Buy. Charged $100 for a $20 Gift Card & Manager Blamed Us! AVOID THIS STORE!
Absolutely shocking and outright fraudulent experience at Best Buy. We purchased a $20 gift card as a Christmas present for my nephew, only to discover later on our bank statement that they had charged us $100, five times the amount!
When we immediately returned to the store to resolve this clear overcharge, we spoke with the store manager, David Dean. Instead of apologizing or fixing the obvious error, he coldly implied it was OUR fault for not catching their “mistake” at the time of purchase. He offered zero help, refused to issue a refund for the difference, and then told us to leave the store.
This isn’t just poor customer service, this feels like deliberate scam tactics
