I had a very disappointing experience at the Osceola Parkway Best Buy location involving an Amazon order pickup and return.
On February 14, I placed a TV order through Amazon with Best Buy as the seller and selected in-store pickup at this location. When I arrived, I decided to return the TV immediately for a larger model before ever leaving the counter.
The employee assisting me, Dook Lee, told me I needed to “receive” the item first before initiating the return, even though I was returning it on the spot. The TV was never actually handed to me or taken into my possession. He then instructed me to email the return slip and specifically told me I would not receive a physical return receipt and that confirmation would instead be sent by email.
No confirmation was ever sent, and it appears the return was never properly completed in Best Buy’s system. I am now dealing with a refund issue for an item that never left the store due to incorrect instructions and improper handling.
Customers should never be told they won’t receive a return receipt. This situation has been frustrating and completely avoidable with proper training and accurate guidance.
