The store manager allowed his friends to cut to the front of the line to get Pokemon stock. My husband showed up to the store more than an hour before opening. There were four empty (“ghost”) chairs that people place in front of the store to try and say they’re holding the line. But no physical bodies. My husband took photos for proof that he was the only one there. One person arrived and tried to say they were in the front. Then his wife and kids showed up later and wanted to cut the front. An employee of the store came out and said he wasn’t getting involved. It wasn’t a big fight or anything my husband was just not giving up his spot in line. then, just before store opening, the manager came out and told my husband he knows those guys they’re his regulars and to go to the very back of the line not even just behind the ghost chairs. He also allowed the wife and children to cut the line. My husband tried to calmly explain and show photos, but the manager didn’t want to hear about it. This kind of behavior is ruining the hobby for everyone. Best Buy needs to start cracking down On this shady behavior - especially from their managers.
I went into Best Buy today hoping to get help from Geek Squad with a serious BIOS issue on my PC, and honestly, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I explained that after trying to enable TPM 2.0 in the BIOS, my screens stopped displaying anything at all — no signal, no boot screen, nothing. This is clearly not a simple issue, and I came in expecting at least some level of troubleshooting or guidance.
Instead, I felt like my problem was brushed off. The staff member that helped me didn’t seem interested in digging into what could be wrong or offering any meaningful solutions. I was basically told there wasn’t much they could do and that it’s a gpu/power supply problem without even attempting to properly diagnose the issue. For a service that’s supposed to specialize in tech support, I expected a lot more effort and expertise.
It was especially frustrating because BIOS-related problems can be complex, and not everyone has the tools or knowledge to fix them at home. That’s exactly why I came to Geek Squad in the first place. Walking out without any real help or direction was a huge letdown.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend relying on Geek Squad for more technical PC issues based on this experience. It felt like a waste of time when I really needed help i definitely won’t be back at this location for anything tech related.
Excelente loja, mas os preços não são tão diferentes do Brasil
