Cyber Monday Headache… Highlights: Damaged/defective laptop (new), horrible customer service, and HIGHLY inefficient exchange process in-store Full story: I bought a HP Envy Laptop on Cyber Monday and realized the box and laptop were damaged. When I went in to exchange it, I experienced HORRIBLE customer service. Of course, it should be understandable/inevitable due to Cyber Monday, except for the fact that when I arrived around 6pm it wasn’t that busy compared to any other high traffic day at Best Buy. First, the employee at the register proceeded to send me to get the new box myself, which in itself was strange and inefficient given there were boxes EVERYWHERE and even the employees didn’t know where things were. The blonde kid we eventually had to ask after circling around aimlessly ended up giving up (without telling me or anyone) and left me waiting there for like 20 minutes. Realizing blonde kid went AWOL, another associate ended up finding it EXACTLY WHERE THE BLONDE KID HAD SUPPOSEDLY LOOKED AND SAID IT WASN’T THERE. I later saw the same blonde kid, without his Best Buy shirt (probably to avoid helping other customers), stocking shelves as if he hadn’t told me to wait where I was for almost half an hour. Don’t understand why he couldn’t have used his earpiece or ask a coworker to delegate the task to someone else. Moral of the story: I recommend going to a different Best Buy 😊

Hard fail: my wife bought a Nest thermostat from them and they would not return it despite it not working. Never was refunded after returning to Nest. Hard no. Buy from place with better return policy.

My deepest appreciation to Melvin, salesperson in appliances. The true customer service. Answered every question, knew all the discounts and most of all patience as it took us two visits to the store before deciding which fridge to buy. After we purchased the fridge the 2 that had been available were sold and we had to wait for another delivery of inventory. Melvin kept watch over the delivery date and set it all up for us with a very short turn around. You don't see this type of customer service anymore. Melvin will get far in business and life. BB you are slouchy to have him.
