Ok, so let me tell you how Best Buy does business....
I needed a wireless DJI mic set up for my business. I was pressed for time and Amazon couldn't get me the device in time. The closest Best Buy was a 2 hour drive away in Sarasota, FL. Not a problem since this was an emergency. I have no problem going extra lengths to provide customer service for my clients. Best buy on the other hand....
I place the order over the phone. The agent guarantees me that my purchase was at the store and will be waiting for me. This is great!!! We drive 2 hours and.... it is no where in the store. Not only is it no where in the store, other locations are out of stock as well. Come to find out that this is a VERY common problem w Best Buy. They take your money in total disregard if the location has or doesn't have the merchandise. Thank goodness, supervisor ERIC R was in duty. He calmly de escalated the situation and promised he would do all he could to find the item or take the next best steps. Once he found out I need it that day he went out of his way to make the next higher up model more affordable and worth my while. I was beyond thankful for him and Best Buy really needs to recognize his efforts.
Best Buy also needs to bring this practice to a halt IMMEDIATELY.
PS: I'm not interested in someone from Best Buy responding to this telling me anything besides THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS TO OUR ATTENTION. WE WILL STOP TAKING PEOPLE'S MONEY WITHOUT FIRST MAKING SURE SAID ITEMS ARE IN STOCK.
I don't need any generic response. I do need you tho to reach out to Eric R and tell him how awesome he is.
Needed to speek with someone to help with simple issue. It was not possible.
