I had a frustrating experience at Geek Squad in Best Buy. I scheduled an appointment online to drop off my MacBook for repairs, only to be told they don't fix MacBooks. When I asked how I could book an appointment without a warning, the staff member shrugged and said, "I don’t know," then rudely offered me a binder to figure out their services, which felt disrespectful. I wasn’t alone in my frustration; others were waiting with similar issues, and one lady even canceled her appointment to get a refund. It seems they’re double booking people just to collect money without providing proper service. With the type of staff they have, it’s no wonder there are so many problems. The lack of clear communication and assistance was disappointing. I expected better from a tech support service. I won’t be returning for future repairs.

Absolutely would never shop here again. I went to the store two weeks ago and bought a 70 inch TV and was very happy with the service from sales guy. I also got a certain Mounting bracket for the TV that was recommended by the sales guy. I waited two weeks to have my TV delivered and installed and when they show up the technicians, tell me that bracket will not be good for my wall studs. The salesman told me the bracket I bought was good for metal or wood. The geek squad technicians tried to tell me they have another mounting bracket on the truck, but it’s $159 more than the one I bought and without that they can’t mount my TV. So then I’m on the phone for 25 minutes because nobody at the store will answer the phone and it goes directly to a call center. I speak to somebody at the call center and I’m instructed to go back to the store and buy a different bracket. I have now taken the day off of work, I have now had to drive back-and-forth 45 minutes each way to the store and I now have to stay home and wait for them to return to mount my TV all because they try to upsell me instead of being honest from step one. They didn’t attempt to give any discounts or anything. All they wanted to do was upsell. Everybody in that company is full of shit except for the installers. They were great and patient from the minute they arrived. It’s very convenient that you cannot reach the store directly to solve an issue like this and they said most people buy the new brackets from them during the install.. Isn’t that convenient. The manager at the geek squad kept telling me that’s not an upsell, but that is exactly what an upsell is.
