Best Buy quality check on open box items is ZERO. I have had two experiences now where an Open box excellent condition TV, had pixelation and picture skipping issues. The much touted Geek Squad is overrated, it's a bunch of tired geeks who don't like talking to people. This store particularly has terrible customer service.
I went in to get a new unlocked Android phone for my wife. The music was a bit loud for my old ears.
The place was pretty busy, so it took a while to get a sales person. Once I got one (however) he was quite efficient and knowledgeable, and got me a Galaxy A-16 in short order, and had me on my way.
Wonderful store! Great customer service!
I would give zero stars if it were an option. Was looking to purchase new security cameras for my home and a replacement s-pen for my mobile device. I was waiting for an associate that was helping another gentleman with cameras. He asked if he could just ring the gentleman up and then he would help me (which I agreed to). When he finished ringing the customer up, the security guard that works the podium at the front had him ring up another customer after that. I looked over at the security guard and he asked "Do you need help with something?" To which I replied yes, I am waiting on him to help me with the cameras. He replied back " he'll be with you in just a moment." So the associate finishes at the register and the security guard proceeds to have him ring up another person while the associate that I'm waiting on points out that I've been waiting for his assistance. So I tell the security guard thanks and walk out the door. I've been a customer of Best buy for more than 10 years and spent thousands of dollars with them (well north of $30,000 over the years) and this was my worst experience ever. I will add that there was a younger woman (African American) who was very pleasant and even took the time to look up the S-pen I needed. I'd probably recommend promoting her and demote the security guard and have him attend some classes in "customer service '
