Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve had in a long time.
I spent almost $900 on a camera that came with a hardware defect—the flash didn’t work straight out of the box. I was still well within my 15-day exchange period, so I went to Geek Squad expecting a simple exchange. Instead, the employee acted like she was in a race, rushed through everything, barely listened to what I was saying, and processed a refund instead of an exchange.
Now I’m sitting here with no camera, no replacement, and no $900 until the refund finally hits my account. Because of one careless mistake, my entire day and trip were ruined.
It’s unbelievable that someone handling expensive electronics can be so impatient and careless. If she had slowed down for just a few seconds and actually paid attention, this never would have happened. Instead, I’m paying the price for her mistake.
The camera was defective—that wasn’t Geek Squad’s fault. But the way this situation was handled absolutely was. I walked in expecting help and walked out furious. This experience was beyond frustrating, and I honestly expected much better from Best Buy and Geek Squad.

Staff here is always kind + courteous. I’ve had great experiences ordering online and picking up in store... especially around Black Friday when they’re actually stocked 🙌
Shoutout to Destiny, car tech, for installing my dash cam 🚗📹 She’s professional... communicates clearly... and made me feel confident my car was in good hands. Even when I had questions about appointment times or product recs, she was personable and easy to work with.
Great example of solid service. If you need car tech installed, ask if she’s available ✅
