Let me start by saying do not believe the 4.0 star review - that is just one of the many lies that you are going to encounter. Look at all of the one star reviews, and that will tell the story. Also let me warn you about a little trick that their Customer Service agents down in Panama City do There’s nothing they can do to help you so when they start getting frustrated, they will say “please remain professional“. When they say that three times it gives them the right to hang up It’s like an ejection seat for them To get away from the burning plane that they know they’re in every day I believe that they pay people to give four and five star reviews to offset the reality of what’s going on at Best Buy in Hiram
BEST BUY Hiram. Got a good deal on a TV. From that point forward it was a disaster. Delivery was scheduled for 9/22. They never called. Then a message saying it would arrive 9/23 - no call no email no TV. 9/24 I ended up on the line with “Nadine” in Panama City (Best Buy Support). She refused to give me a
Manager and then pulled the ejection handle and hung up. Tried texting - that got me rescheduled for 9/25. It will not show up.
So much for a good deal. And I heard every lie they are trained on …. starting with the tried and true “the truck broke down”. From there it was just one lie after the other.
I remember now why I went to online shopping only.
Evidently this is a daily problem
for them and they’ve gotten so used to it that’s it’s business as usual.
Oh well, lesson learned. I’ll celebrate when they go Bankrupt and have to close every brick and mortar location that’s left open.
Used to be such a great store with great service - they’re just a shadow of that time now. Avoid them like the plague unless you like being lied to and hung up on from someone in Panama City who doesn’t speak English. They’ll tell you themselves they don’t really care whether you buy there or not
