Bought an Apple watch a few days ago online, received the wrong one in the mail because they sent the wrong model that doesn’t even match the SKU. This store wouldn’t let me exchange it for another one that is the correct model, because the apple watch sale ended a few days prior to receiving the one I ordered in the mail. I worked at Best Buy for years and know they can do an even exchange (even after the sale ended), and that it would still exchange at the sale price in the POS. I guess the cashier was new and ignorant and would not let us exchange the watch without paying a $100 difference when it was Best Buy that sent us the wrong model and we just want the one we ordered. Or they just didn’t want to do the return. Train your staff better or at all.
Criminals. They added an additional $100 to my order then tried to give it back as a “gift card” BEST BUY STOLE MY MONEY. The customer service team in India is obviously no help. Everyone who works there is incompetent. THE ABSOLUTE worst customer service I’ve experienced. I will be moving forward with a BBB and CFPB complaint against Best Buy. No wonder it’s a dying retailer. Absolutely garbage.
I had gained a lot of trust and respect for Best Buy over the years. I have so many positive experiences over the 10+ years of shopping here. Unfortunately that streak ended after buying an Open Box TV from them. It was made clear that Best Buy and I don’t share the same definition of Excellent when it comes to quality. I can get over the fact that the TV was missing hardware and batteries. I can easily get over it not being in the original box, but the lack of quality checking that comes with THE WRONG POWER CORD being packaged with this TV is egregious. Customer service for Best Buy needs to be retrained or given the tools to make these situations right. I was told by Emmanuel and his manager David that I can bring the whole TV back to get a new one with appropriate cord. My other option was to contact Samsung for replacement parts. Zero accountability on Best Buy to meet the consumer at their inconvenience just a team with the “not my problem” approach. I offered logical solutions like can I come get the power cord from Best Buy without packing up a mounted TV? They responded not an option. Make it make sense! I will overlook the less than excellent condition and the multiple trips to Best Buy for a single item if I can just get what I paid for, but this inconvenience can’t become normalized.
