Complete waste of my time. I made an appointment with Apple Care to have my iPhone battery replaced. I showed up for the reservation assuming that the fix could be made during my scheduled time slot. I don’t think that was a poor assumption since that’s how other appliance repair companies operate. Unfortunately, the rep at geek squad said the technician had left and wouldn’t be able to fix it today. That’s great. I started to pack up but then she said if I wanted service at all I would have to fill out the necessary paperwork to “get in the queue”. So I obliged and stood there while she ran the very unnecessary diagnostic test. After 25 mins, she realized that there weren’t any batteries available for my model so I’d have to pay to ship the battery to the store. So what was the point of the appointment? If I inform Best Buy that I’m requesting a battery swap, and they accept the appointment, isn’t it safe to assume that the battery will be in stock and the phone can be repaired that day? I think so. That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back all thanks to a poorly designed system and poorly trained staff. Fix yourself Best Buy.

They appear to be reorganizing. Stuff was piled everywhere and the employees we asked for help tried to be helpful but didn't understand what we were looking for, which they didn't have anyway.

Needed help looking for a car sterio with a specific plug. The first associate I spoke with was helpful, but wasn't able to help me find what I needed becuase some other customers were looking for a TV and he didn't want to leave his department in case they needed help, which is fair. He asked one of his cowerkers to help me instead. She seemed frustrated with both me and the first associate I spoke with. When we were out of earshot of the first associate she told me "Just so you know, it is like...work for me to get this down for you if you aren't going to buy it...". I wasn't really sure how to respond to that. I apologized and explained that I wouldn't know if It was what I needed until I saw what plug it had. She then said "ok...also we aren't even supposed to let customers open boxes just so you know...that is why I was like, questioning him back there". I wasn't sure what she wanted me to do at this point, I guess she was hoping I would tell her nevermind and leave? After this she did get the box down and I was able to check to see if it was the item I needed. The whole interation was strange and uncomfortable.

They went into the warehouse and checked every corner, but finally found the 1 unit they had in stock. Thank you!
