We were price comparison shopping for a smart watch when we stopped in yesterday. We were assisted by Daniel, who patiently answered our questions about different models, pricing options, promotional event – never felt rushed that he needed to help other customers. I mean, this guy went above and beyond so that we could get the best price, and it was greatly appreciated. He also helped us prep the old watch so that we could do a trade-in. Fantastic. His manager, John, was also very helpful. Just a general note about the store. Many sales reps working the floor, everyone asked us if we needed help, but Daniel was already assisting us. Great customer service at the Aiea location.
Puchased a lemon laptop in April 2025. In less than a year, it was in the geek squad lemon repair shop over 6x. Half the time the laptop did not leave the store because their staff tried to fix it in house. Then they sent it off to the mainland 3x where they swapped the motherboard and a battery. "Basically gave me a new computer" in which I continued to have problems. Took it back in January 2026 with mic flickering problems during zoom mtgs. Then overheating problems. Zack Gerrish gave me his email said contact me to swap out laptop. Even exchange but never returned my email. Apparently the "computer system" would not allow them to exchange. They waited until after a year so now their "computer system" wont allow them to deal with my laptop at all.
Common theme here in reviews.
In April 2026, days after my laptop one year warranty expired, a manager told me to pay 188.00 to trick the system into believing I had service package. I paid it.
Then the geek squad told me to pay another 150.00 for diagnosing my laptop then I cud pay the difference for a new laptop which was another 160. This would trick the "computer system" into giving me a refund, but then the difference wud be ate up in the pricing of the new laptop...🤔 See where this is going? 😳😳😳 The total of my "buy in" is over 600 and I don't get full value of what I all ready paid for the first laptop. No cap.
Are u kidding me? The math aint mathing.
In otherwords, I wouldn't get a refund and pay twice as much for a new laptop.
As of this review, Best Buy Aiea is sitting on my lemon laptop, because they had me in tears after my last in store visit with no resolution.
I have wasted hours of my life in store trying to fix a new lemon laptop while they wasted a year trying to repair in store and sending it off to the mainland.
Furthermore, each time I got it back I had to reinstall windows 365 that I purchased separately because they kept resetting my laptop to factory. Lost the use on that app too. another 100.00.
Geek squad related that after 6 months, the laptops become obsolete from their inventory because they are superseded by new products. With that in mind, why keep trying to fix an outdated lemon laptop and giving me BS excuses and lame repair jobs.
To which, after reading reviews here, the common answer for complaints are redirection back to facebook, instagram or another AI app for resolution. Begs the question, is anyone ever getting satisfaction?
Back in the day, a "computer system" would not have governed humans into providing fair customer service. Come on Best Buy, do better.
The best place to buy all your electronics. Very big 2 story location. Lots of room for the kids to run around in.
Very helpful and knowledgeable
