My husband and I both collect Pokémon cards and we often shop for them together. We were so excited to see that this store had the box we were both looking for and there was 2 left, one for each of us. The lady behind the counter wouldn’t let me purchase one because my husband and I walked in together and she claimed it was 1 per family, even though we were purchasing separately, which it’s never been before. I totally understand limiting per customer, but not letting me purchase the box for my own collection because she assumed we were family is completely ridiculous and unfair.
She ended up selling it to the guy who was in line behind us, who she waved to and was talking with like they were friends. Pretty sure she made up an excuse to not sell it to me so she could sell it to him.
