I have a a question about how long it takes to replace a battery in a cell phone. I want to talk to someone in that department. They say they can’t transfer my call to that area because they are receiving “an unusually high call volume in that department.” But if I walk into the store, I can ask them right away. I live 45 min from the store and I’m not going to drive that far just to ask a question that should be answered over the phone. I want to know how long to replace the battery in my iPhone. I was told I need to schedule an appointment to ask my question and have my phone inspected. What kind of customer service is that?!
It’s a waste of my time to drive that far if they can’t replace it. If they can but it’s going to take a week, I’m still not going to use the service. It’s my only phone and it shouldn’t take a week. That’s why an appointment system is used. I’m telling you what needs done. So order the parts, and then be ready to do the replacement when I bring my phone in. A couple hours, I understand. A week?! That’s ridiculous.
Best Buy used to be a good place for shopping and service. It’s just an empty shell of a store now and a waste of time for shopping and service.

You would need an appointment for the replacement to be checked if available. If a battery is available on the appointment date it can take a few hours to complete, if there is no battery available you may need to leave your phone until we receive a batter to replace your phones' battery.
