Best Buy in Downers Grove just lost a potential sale of a TV. I ask 3 sales people for help while I was standing in the TV section for an hour and all three told me someone would help me in a couple minutes. Nobody came to help and I walked out after standing there for about an hour.
In support of brick and mortar I came here to buy a Sonos sound bar (a friend had bought Sonos years ago and liked it). Took a bit of time for me to setup in my office but Sonos disconnected without strong WiFi (don’t have) and wasn’t going to go through all the hoops again. Talked to friend and he said Sonos decided to not support the system they had and it essentially bricked the $2000 system for them. I should’ve read fine print at Best Buy: only 15- day return. I was 2 days late. They want you to give them $99/year for longer return times. I will never step foot in a Best Buy again. Employees and manager were pleasant here but store policy is garbage.
Elliot ,Bill and other techs killed it on my renovation love the new sound system in my truck highly recommend these gentlemen for all your automotive sound needs
The worst best buy I ever been to! After driving around from best buy to best buy. I came here and finally found the silver/grey Ninja Blast Max I was looking for.
When I went up to the front to purchase it, I started asking some questions about the warranty and how it works. For a few minutes, this girl and about three other employees, kept looking at each other clueless and just gave me a general answer with no clue about how the warranty actually works. I know this because she asked two guys in front of me and they said they didn't know. They just said it would be covered in some way. Wether store credit, an exchange, or repair. To just bring the receipt if anything happens. I said "ok", as she was charging my card, and I told her to email me a receipt for the warranty. She looked at me clueless again and shocked because the receipt printed out. She then proceeded to tell me that they only do print outs, no email receipts. I said "you know what, nevermind, just give me my money back. The ink from the receipt won't even last more than three months for the 2 year warranty and i don't want to deal with the headache. I'm just going to go some place where they will email me a receipt".
I ended up leaving the store after returning the product immediately after buying it. But what do you know, as soon as I walk out, i get an email that my protection plan has been canceled. I literally would've kept the product if they told me that it was tied to my email, which they told me it was not! They didn't know anything about how the warranties work! And she could careless if she wasted my time. Had no enthusiasm in her, nothing. She did not care one bit. Nor did the other employees.
