I recently purchased an Open-Box Google Pixel fold phone from the Best Buy Homewood location. The item was marked as "Excellent condition" on the website. The phone had noticeable scratches and scuffs, including on the screen. Based on Best Buy's own standards, this would more accurately be described as "Good" condition not "Excellent." When I brought the condition to the management's attention, the General Manager dismissed my concerns, stating that "that's basically what I was paying for." While the management was unhelpful, I do want to commend the floor staff. They were friendly and advised me to try a different location or call corporate. I ended up going to the Tinley Park store, the same night, after talking to customer service. The team there immediately inspected the phone, agreed it was mislabeled and not in "Excellent" condition, and rectified the situation on the spot. I cannot recommend buying open-box items at the Homewood location if this is how their leadership handles valid quality concerns. Save your time and go to Tinley Park. If I’m paying over $1,300 for an open-box item, then I would expect for it to meet the advertised condition.

I almost walked out without purchasing a much-needed laptop because no one greeted or approached me when I entered the store. As I walked around, I started to feel overlooked and overwhelmed by all the products. When I attempted to speak with a male employee (I unfortunately don’t remember his name) to ask where the Lenovo laptops were, he brushed by me so quickly that I wondered if I had somehow offended him. However, a few moments later, I was approached by Danielle — and this 5-star review is completely owed to her! My purchase was quick, easy, and seamless thanks to Danielle. She truly listened to my needs, provided several options that fit what I was looking for, and most importantly, kept my price point in mind. Thank you, Danielle! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and respected. Keep up the phenomenal work!
