Caution when purchasing extended warranties.
I purchased a Dyson product from Best Buy and was sold a 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan for $89. What wasn’t disclosed at the time of sale is that Dyson already provides a standard 2-year manufacturer’s warranty at no additional cost, which fully covers repair or replacement of the machine or its parts.
Best Buy may claim that the Geek Squad plan “enhances” the manufacturer’s warranty by covering accidental damage and power surges. However, in this case, the plan provided no added value during the same 2-year period already covered by Dyson. Selling a redundant warranty without clearly explaining that overlap is misleading to customers and creates unnecessary expense.
Consumers should be fully informed about the coverage they already have before being encouraged to purchase an additional plan. Transparency at the point of sale is not optional—it’s expected.
The screen protectors I bought for my galaxy fold 7 didn't go on properly and they gave me an open box and then a new one and none of them worked.

I always love seeing my tech merchandise up fronts and close before making a selection...
Prices are pretty decent so I can't complain about Best buy..
Ordered online for pickup do to a business emergency. My associate went to the store 4 hours later, no one had taken it off the shelf yet. He offered to just go grab it off the shelf himself and was told that if he did, we'd have to cancel the order and pay for it in store instead because it wouldn't be "properly processed".
End result, my associate had to use his personal card for the business purchase. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I've never had the same issue at other stores so go anywhere else.
