Best Buy South Elgin

This SPECIFIC Best Buy location has made me a shell of a man. I used to fear nothing but death... until I came in contact with a man by the name of "Logan". He looked at me with an evil glint in his eye, and beckoned out "how may I help you?" even though I was standing right in front of him (maybe 3in away from kissing). I told him I needed help buying a right headlight for a 1987 Saturn. He told me, and I quote "We don't sell car headlights here sir" EVEN THOUGH I had been on the phone not even an hour earlier with a man named Joshua (HEAVY Indian accent, but I knew he must've been American by the name) who told me that Best Buy has it if I can think of it. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY distraught, but I kept pushing forward in order to fix my stunning 1987 Saturn. It was at this moment when I felt it. It creeped up on me like the winters first cold bite. He grabbed me by BOTH arms and spun me in a WWE Smackdown position. I hit the floor and slowly drifted into a forced sleep. When I woke, it had been 3 years. I missed the birth of my daughter, and the chance to salvage my previous marriage.

I am never in my life seen such horrible service. First 45 minutes of waiting in line at a desk then being told that I have to have it looked at by The geek squad, which because they've had appointments I might have to wait as long as it takes. At this point I don't give a crap about the $200 for the TV. So I go to look for a new one. And I can't find a single worker in the entire area. I mean how does this store stay in business? Upper management might want to consider who's running the store

Never ever take your computer to geek squad. You've been warned.

If you ever need help, this is the Best Buy store to go to! Huge shoutout to Lavira (General Manager) and the Best Buy South Elgin crew! These guys truly set a high bar for what real customer service means! I had a unique situation with my purchase, and Lavira went above and beyond to help me out. She’s a true hands-on manager, I watched her make sure every customer walking in gets the perfect experience, and that same care continues until they walk out completely satisfied. Also, special thanks to Evan for stepping in and assisting me as well! Your professionalism and kindness made a huge difference. This team represents everything that makes Best Buy stand out — friendly, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused. I left the store today feeling grateful and impressed.
