Gabit was very helpful and had a great recommendation. So glad that I listened to his advice. I was looking for computer speakers and he recommended the Insignia soundbar. It is very reasonable cost and great quality. I returned a very expensive speaker system that I had purchased at ABT. My son liked it so much that he bought one for himself. Kudos to Gabit..it was very late in the evening maybe 30 minutes from store closure. Great customer service.

my wife bought a computer yesterday and I called in thru ai and it would not put me thru to a human. I asked for an agent 7 times and it kept going thru a loop. I hung up, called back and left the phone on mute and it hung up on me. Been a best buy member with total rewards for 20 years and this is how I am treated? I would give zero but its not available

NOT SHOPPING HERE EVER AGAIN. I’ve been shopping at the Best Buy in Vernon Hills for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, but my experience today was honestly shocking. I bought two items that were just slightly past the 15-day return window, both under $50, and went to the store simply hoping to exchange them or get store credit. I wasn’t even asking for cash back. Instead, I was told the only way they could give store credit was if I paid $50 a year for their membership. Otherwise there was “nothing they could do.” So let me get this straight: if you don’t pay their $50 membership fee, they won’t help you with even a simple exchange past 15 days? That honestly feels less like customer service and more like extortion. What made it worse was the manager’s attitude, which came across as completely uncaring. There was no attempt to help, no flexibility, and no appreciation for the fact that I’ve been a loyal customer here for years. This was my first time ever trying to return or exchange something at this store, and it’s incredibly disappointing that after so many years of shopping here, they couldn’t help with two inexpensive items. Best Buy really needs to rethink this policy. Losing loyal customers over something this small is not good business.
