We bought an openbox microwave and were encouraged to buy the protection plan so that if anything went wrong, it would be repaired or replaced. When I reported a repair need, they said they could not repair or replace, but only give me store credit for purchase price. They refused to repair or replace. I will never shop best buy again. I don’t use facebook, instagram or other social media so I can’t respond to the owner’s reply.

They failed to return my ID to me. I call to see if they have it. I have to talk to someone in India. I have to drive across town to see if they have my ID which is the only time I used it that day. They say they don’t have it. I returned the computer because why not just buy online. They wouldn’t have lost my ID and I can’t call them for help anyway. So…,immediately I get a response from Best Buy that this is very concerning and I should reach out to their customer service on social media. What?? They don’t answer the phones at their brick and motor and their customer support I have to contact via social media? What? Also when I drove to the store to talk to the store they couldn’t identify the employee that sold me an $800+ item but I was told it was probably an employee not even from that location. I guess we will see another brick and motor store shuttered in the near future. Turns out; no loss any way.
