I purchased a computer online for my step-son and it arrived broken. I called customer service and was told it wasn't their issue it was a marketplace order, done through the Best Buy App, and I needed to contact Acer. After calling Acer Customer Service they told me that it had no warranty and since I purchased it from Best Buy I needed to contact them. Over $1600 spent and both companies are pointing fingers at one another and not honoring the 1 yr parts and labor advertised in the sale. I paid out of pocket to replace the broken motherboard and thermal cooler just to get it working. 9 hours in total between chat and phone reps, most of which have hung up on me or placed me on holds that never end while refusing to transfer me to a supervisor. This is textbook customer abuse and they don't even care. I finally spoke to a supervisor and she was no help at all. I had been a loyal Best Buy customer since 2002... 6 of my 10 computers I have owned since 2002 came from Best Buy either as prebuilt or pieces for builds/upgrades I have done. 24 years and 1 problem and they treat you like you're scum and causing "them" an issue, just give us your money and go away is their attitude, outside of the agents that hung up, blind transferred, left me on "hold" for an hour and fifteen minutes in chat etc.. I took screenshot of the chats and have them on my computer. They have no remorse and do not care at all about the customer. 9 chat agents and 10 phone reps before I got a supervisor that could basically care less. I am done purchasing from this company and have already made a complaint to the BBB and will likely escalate this further. Someone in their company sent me to the store for resolve and there wasn't any.. I ended up buying the parts to fix the computer and the only decent person in the entire company was the Geek Squad manager that said he would do the repair labor free. In the pictures you can see the very sales page I purchased the computer from and it states as a feature 1 year parts and labor but neither Best Buy nor Acer has yet to honor this, it is.. in fact, false advertising and sales fraud, which is why I complained to the BBB.

I spoke with a rep from Best Buy that stated they are escalating my concerns and also heard back from the BBB who stated they had reached out. Though Acer and Best Buy have sent me a message stating I am being reimbursed for the parts as a partial refund off of the computer purchase, which is perfectly fair and in line with my one and only request through all of this. I hate that I had to spend 10 hrs on the phone, several more in chats, and file a formal complaint and make a public post to get this resolved. The issue, financially has been resolved, the issue with mistreatment from Customer Service, however, I don't believe can be. Thanks for someone doing the right thing finally.
