I pre-ordered a game and figured it would be no big deal picking up the physical copy on release day. The pre-order came with a couple of digital freebies which added a little extra value.
Well when I went to pick it up, they said it wasn't "ready" and that they still needed to "pick" it. The game was right in front of me. The only thing they recommended was cancelling my order and buying it again at the counter. Thus forfeiting any digital extras that came along with the pre-order.
This wasn't a huge deal as they instructed me to call and explain the situation and it would be taken care of. So after 30 minutes on the phone, they explained to me that there was nothing they could do and I wasn't going to be getting the the digital extras DESPITE actually pre-ordering the game.
What an awful system. I don't even know who to blame. The obviously subpar pre-order system or the employees for not figuring out how to fill an order that's right in front of them.

Buyer beware! My washer, which is covered under a protection plan from Geek Squad, has been inoperable for almost a month. Last week, the evening before, Geek Squad's third-party repair company canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances". This appointment was rescheduled for 8 days later, for the third-party to arrive between 7a-7p. The day of (today), Best Buy called at noon to let me know that the repair was not going to occur because their third-party had "unforeseen circumstances" and the best that they could offer was a rescheduled appointment. Each time, I have moved appointments to accommodate. There is ZERO accountability for their third-party repair companies. Steer clear of the trap of their Geek Squad services. At this point, I could have found someone to service my washer quicker, but I paid money for this useless warranty. RIDICULOUS.
