Excellent desktop and laptop recycling service
Short: Checkout staff and manager don’t know their own policy on price drop adjustments.
Long: I purchased the PS5 FC25 game on November 6th and saw the price drop from $70 to $50 on November 8th at Best Buy. I went in on the morning of November 8th and asked if I could return the game because it was too similar to the previous version, FC24. They said no returns on opened games, and I did read the policy after they told me that, and I agreed.
I also read Best Buy’s “Holiday Price Match Guarantee” policy and saw that they do adjust prices until January 14th, 2025. I asked if they could follow this policy and adjust the price for the $20 drop. The checkout person said no, and I showed him the policy on my phone. He still said no but went ahead and asked the manager. The staff told me the manager doesn’t do price adjustments on open games. Well, the Holiday Price Match Guarantee policy didn’t have any exclusions for games, but the staff rudely said too bad.
I contacted Best Buy customer service via Messages and they adjusted the price and gave me a $20 return.
Staff and manager should learn their own policies before saying no.
