Drove 90 miles (one way) and Purchased a laptop and was told I had to purchase a subscription to Microsoft 365 if I wanted Word/Excel on my new laptop. I also purchased the Geek Squad/Best Buy subscription to transfer my data. . Came back to pick up laptop (another 90 miles) only to be told that my current Microsoft subscription easily transferred. Store manager refused to give me a refund; said I had to call Microsoft. I called Microsoft they said no, it was sold by third party vendor. They would have to give refund. They gave me a case number to give to Best Buy. Called the store and it was rerouted to a call center. They said I had to go personally to the store and talk again to the manager. I said I can’t drive another 180 miles round trip. They said sorry, nothing we can do at the call center. So my next communication will be with Best Buy Corporate office in Minnesota. I have not activated the Microsoft product. I just want my money refunded. Hopefully Corporate can help me.

Took an Insignia ice maker back to the store due to a leaking bearing. The unit was a year old and I received it as a Christmas gift a year ago. Best Buy was not able to repair it or replace it since we could not establish if it was still in warranty. How can a business not know when it sold a product? Is this how Best Buy supports their brand name items? Warning to consumers looking to buy an Insignia brand ice maker: Get the extended warranty!
