went in east wichita store mid afternoon to buy an apple watch. there was 1 customer checking out with sales rep. i waited and a young lady walked up and asked if i was in the que. i said no. she said you had to be in the que. so i gave her my name and she said that will be 5-10 minutes. i asked why she couldnt help me. no answer. i asked why the sales rep that was checking out couldnt help as he was standing. then another person came up with no customer. so i asked again you have 3 reps standing and NO customers why one of them couldnt help me. she said usually we are busier thats why we put you in que. OK i'm in cue and no customers why make me wait. got frustrated and left. on way out the greeter that asked if he could help on my way in, i replied yes find people who want to help customers. a mgr walked by and he waived her down i told my story, and she defended team vs helping. no wonder people opt for better service other than best buy. sad part is my business is a huge customer of best buy. may rethink that.
