I'm not a usual Best Buy customer . However, I happened to come across " open box" specials online so I decided to go to the store to see the quality of the TV instore before purchasing. I got a nice deal with the same manf warranty as one that wasn't an open box special. The employees weren't very attentive . Nor were they knowledgeable about the specifics. Also, I tried paying with my already established affirm payment and 2 diff employees said it couldnt be purchased with Affirm even though already approved . They can't manually enter the numbers. Therefore, causing me to hold up the line and having to choose a whole new method of payment right then and there. Time consuming and frustrating.

The Best Buy in Elizabethtown is precisely what one expects from the brand in its current phase—functional, predictable, and unmistakably transitional. The store now appears primarily oriented around cell phone sales and carrier services, which dominate both floor space and staff attention. Traditional electronics, video games, and accessories are still available, but they no longer feel like the core of the operation.
Inventory depth is a recurring weakness. In categories such as digital cameras, selection is notably thin, with many items either unavailable or represented only by display models. This reinforces the sense that the store is no longer optimized for in-person discovery, but rather serves as a physical extension of an online catalog.
Atmospherically, the space feels tired. There is a subdued, almost melancholic quality to the store—as though it is aware of its own decline but continues operating out of inertia rather than momentum. The environment does not invite browsing, exploration, or excitement in the way electronics retailers once did.
That said, it still fulfills its basic purpose. If you need a phone upgrade, a common accessory, or a mainstream electronic item quickly, it gets the job done. Just do not expect inspiration, robust inventory, or the energetic retail experience that once defined the brand. This Best Buy is not dead—but it is clearly no longer thriving.

Very helpful getting a new samsung phone.
Good store. Staff were surprisingly helpful and helped without any of the usual eye rolling from these places. That’s more of a statement for Elizabethtown though. Seriously lovely people in general.
