I purchased an Xbox game as a gift for my son who lives in another state. He opened the game and it did not work. My receipt said it was a couple of days passed return date. I called his store and explained it was a gift and I live in another state so now it is passed return date and it was opened and doesn’t work. The person I spoke with said he could return it for store credit. So my son goes there, which is not a short drive and they would not take it back. He told them that I talked to someone there and they said I must have talked to someone in Europe. No I didn’t. I have the call log that shows that I called the store in Florence KY.

Had a very pleasant experience… The sales person listened to me. She knew exactly what I wanted and saved me about $400.00 She wasn’t pushy about warranties and I didn’t have to give my phone number so I wouldn’t get endless text… Ha ha

Edit: After posting this review, I was contacted by support, turns out the store associate gave me incorrect information. They in fact do issue returns for software within the 30 day window. Review adjusted from 2 stars to 5. On 12/19/25, I went into the store to purchase a new laptop. So far it's working great, so if that was all they had sold me, I would have a positive review. It's what else happened that is the problem. The sales associate claimed that in order to have Microsoft Office on the new laptop, I needed to purchase the software, so I did for $150. After setting up the new laptop and logging into my Office 365 account, Microsoft Office was working and I realized I didn't need the new purchase. I thought no harm no foul, I'll just return it, it's within the 30-Day return window and I did not activate it. I get to the store, and the associate claims that they don't have a way to verify that the product key was not used, and thus cannot give me a refund. Are you serious? No way to tell if I've used the code or not? This was never mentioned that the software purchase could not be returned. Admittedly I should have been a little more knowledgeable about my Office situation and that I didn't need what was being offered. I do believe the associate should have been more forthcoming about anyone that currently uses Microsoft Office probably doesn't need a new subscription, and that a purchase can't be returned even if the product key isn't used.
